Delhi Little Tibetan Market: Majnu ka Tila
When we reached Majnu ka Tilla, the dingy lanes seemed a bit unaccommodating at first. But as I went on to explore further, we fell in love with the charm of “Delhi’s little Tibet”.
The style sense of fashion forward Tibetans is portrayed throughout the outlets in the market where you can get the best of street style at the most affordable prices.
And if you are in North Delhi or near North Campus of Delhi University, Do not miss this lovely small place on the river bank of Yamuna in Majnu Ka Tila Busan Korean Restaurant. Their Korean Food is as authentic as it can be in Delhi. We fell in love with this place and the hospitality of the staff. Manager Vandana is from Darjeeling and the staff is also from North East. The place is quite small but is fit for a family lunch and dinner.
Everything about this place excited me so much that I reached there well ahead of time. While the market was being set up, I went to Busan Cafe to grab breakfast. There we had Tteokbokki is a popular Korean street food dish made with chewy rice cakes, savory fish cakes, and assorted vegetables in a spicy Korean chili sauce. This simple recipe is guaranteed to satisfy your late night, savory cravings. These Korean rice cakes are slightly sweet but have a mostly neutral taste. They are soft, chewy and delicious. And the another dish we have was Gimbap is one of the most important dishes to the Korean culture. In fact, gimbap is one of the most common food for many Korean people.I believe gimbap to Korean people is very much like a sandwich to American people. Gimbap is one of the best-known Korean food that many people can enjoy as light but a full one-time meal.
