How a Small Place Became Little India

The Delhi Tourism Department, the Government of Delhi, the Ministry of Textiles, and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, jointly worked to establish Dilli Haat INA in the early 1990s. The other Dilli Haats were built in the first decade of the twenty-first century. Over time, minor changes like the installation of a food court, accessibility for those with wheelchairs, and a fully working restroom arose.

The building is quite similar to traditional North Indian Style homes and has striking similarities to Jaipur's bazaars. Each of these stores is designed to resemble a tiny home with a stone roof.

The market has evolved into an exotic cultural centre throughout time, and recently, Delhi's most exciting festival, the Comic-Con, has also been held here at the INA branch.
