Delhi Little Tibetan Market: Majnu ka Tila

When we reached Majnu ka Tilla, the dingy lanes seemed a bit unaccommodating at first. But as I went on to explore further, we fell in love with the charm of “Delhi’s little Tibet”. The style sense of fashion forward Tibetans is portrayed throughout the outlets in the market where you can get the best of street style at the most affordable prices. And if you are in North Delhi or near North Campus of Delhi University, Do not miss this lovely small place on the river bank of Yamuna in Majnu Ka Tila Busan Korean Restaurant. Their Korean Food is as authentic as it can be in Delhi. We fell in love with this place and the hospitality of the staff. Manager Vandana is from Darjeeling and the staff is also from North East. The place is quite small but is fit for a family lunch and dinner. Everything about this place excited me so much that I reached there well ahead of time. While the market was being set up, I went to Busan Cafe to grab breakfast. There we had Tteokbokki is a popular Korean st

How a Small Place Became Little India

Image
The Delhi Tourism Department, the Government of Delhi, the Ministry of Textiles, and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, jointly worked to establish Dilli Haat INA in the early 1990s. The other Dilli Haats were built in the first decade of the twenty-first century. Over time, minor changes like the installation of a food court, accessibility for those with wheelchairs, and a fully working restroom arose.  The building is quite similar to traditional North Indian Style homes and has striking similarities to Jaipur's bazaars. Each of these stores is designed to resemble a tiny home with a stone roof. The market has evolved into an exotic cultural centre throughout time, and recently, Delhi's most exciting festival, the Comic-Con, has also been held here at the INA branch.
